The bay’s horizon was the New York skyline.
Colorful sailboats were the tall skyscrapers interrupting the thin line between land and sky.
The beach’s ambience was relaxing yet hectic. Parents were lying on their large beach towels, soaking in the sun such as a sponge would absorb water. All the while, their young children were splashing and running through the froth of the waves. Screams were constant as the stomping of sand castles aroused temper tantrums from the hard working
kids.
One side of the beach was flanked by large ,jagged, sandy cliffs and the other side was guarded by a swampy area.
