Developing My Writing Skills

I wrote essays and papers when I previously attended college. Each of my instructors usually wrote good remarks on them. Of course, that was years ago. Since returning to school, I am realizing that I have a lot of work to do, especially if I want to write great essays. So far, these lessons have identified some of my usual common mistakes, such as using the thesaurus too much and the basic rules of writing (Bethel University, n.d.). The thesaurus is useful when used correctly, but I have been guilty of completely changing the meaning of my words (Bethel University, n.d.). I realized that using harder to pronounce words made it harder for others to understand my writing (Bethel University, n.d.). As I continue to practice my writing skills each week, I believe that my co-workers,

You have touched on an excellent point in your discussion.
I use the text option on my phone, but I text by using complete sentences. I have never thought about using shorthand or pictures in the place of words yet? It just hasn’t appealed to me. I have a lot to learn pertaining to my speaking skills (Bethel University, n.d.). I have always felt that if I use shortcuts in my basic writing skills that it would hurt me in the long run (Bethel University, n.d.). Reference

You have made some good recommendations and I also agree with the use of the basic rules of writing (Bethel University, n.d.). Before I buy a novel, I will begin by reading the first few pages. I usually put the book back on the shelf If I am lost because the author hasn’t caught my attention, or I don’t understand the plot because of the writer’s ineffective writing skills (Bethel University, n.d.). I have probably missed out on some good books, but that is usually how I feel especially with an author that I am not familiar
