DEVELOPING STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS
INTRODUCTION OF THE UNIT:
This unit describes the importance and significance of the effective leadership and management. Different styles and models of the dynamic leadership are also described in this module. The strategies which are necessary and need of the organizations are also explained and their implementations in the companies are stated which are helpful for the leadership in order to grow in all dimensions.
INTRODUCTION OF THE ORGANIZATION:
Leadership and managemen play an important role in the productivity and success of the companies as the organization was started and the first day profit was £1 after the sale of £4. In the 1956, the first self service supermarket store wan opened at the converted cinema in Maldon and the sale became to 1 billion pounds which extended to 2 billion in 1991. Now the fourth position in the world is the living evidence of its progress and dynamic leadership and management. In 1924, the product teas was used to give it the name and that was TE from tea then the store was in the Stockwell, the name was TES and then CO was added and this became TESCO. The organization on which I am going to write this report is the very well known and globally recognised as the fourth largest food retailer in the world named Tesco PLC.
This is the UK based superstore chain and also the largest British retailer.
This organization was started by Jack Cohen in 1919 in the East London.
