Job Description:
For introduction, augmented reality is a live, direct or indirect, view of a physical, real-world environment whose element are augmented or supplemented by computer-generated sensor input such as sound, video, graphics or GPS data. Augmented reality application can be use in education because it can complement a standard curriculum. Text, graphics, video and audio can be superimposed into a children or student's real time environment. Textbooks, flashcards and other educational reading material can contain embedded “markers” that, when scanned by an AR device, produce supplementary information to the children or student rendered in a multimedia format. AR can aid children or students in recognizing and understanding animals by allowing them to visualize the physical structure of it and interact with a virtual model of the animals that appears, in a camera image, positioned at a marker held in their hand. Augmented reality technology also permits learning via remote collaboration, in which children's or students and mothers or instructor not at the same physical location can share a common virtual learning environment populated by virtual objects and learning materials and interact with another within that setting.
We use UNITY game engine with package of vuforia software development kit (SDK) for making the augmented reality animal book. Unity is a cross-platform engine with a built-in IDE developed by Unity Technologies. It is used to develop video games for web plug-in, desktop platforms, consoles and mobile devices, and utilize by over one million developers. For Vuforia, it is an Augmented Reality Software Development Kit (SDK) for mobile devices that enables the creation of Augmented Reality applications. It uses Computer Vision technology to recognize and track planar images (Image Targets) and simple 3D
