He was very shocked because he thought he locked the door before, but I guess he didn't. He thought to himself “ wow, good thing it is the night or else we would be out of money and business because of that animal. I think that cage was a penguin, he would have eaten all of the customer's fish sandwiches because he loves fish.. I better go find him.” So he went off looking for the penguin. He looked in the bird section, monky section, element section, and many more, but he couldn't find the penguin. The only two places he didn't look in where the fish exhibit and the, oh no would he have gone in the lion section, if he had I would get fired for shere. So he ran to the lion exhibit but the…

Why spend it [money]?’” Stuever then points out that regardless of that, she still “likes the tradition.” This is the rhetorical strategy of allegory, because there is a deeper meaning there. It connects to the overarching theme because it highlights the fact that shopping can indeed be a tradition. Even though Carroll feels as if no one wants anything big that’s going to be worth buying, she still likes the tradition. It’s a “wet and unappealing morning,” so it’s very easy for Carroll to just stay home and not spend any money, but it’s a tradition that her and her daughter, Marissa, have created and they thoroughly enjoy doing it together. They even say that it felt as if it wasn’t the same, but they still do it. It’s the same thing with a family that has a traditional tradition, such as a Christmas tree or Christmas lights. Every single year, regardless of how they feel or where they’re at, they are always going to put up a Christmas tree. Carroll and Marissa like the tradition of shopping, and they will continue to do it.…
3.I like the main characters of my novel because all the main characters are the ones who went to the Carving (Mountains) to escape the society and find the rebellion group.I also like how Cassia and Ky take the risk of going out to the Carving knowing that they might be dead or their safe somewhere I can find each other at.They would be my friends because they are very adventurous and they take risks and don't leave their friends behind. When Cassia thinks about leaving the camp she makes up her mind quick because she wants to find Ky but if she thinks long about it she might want to go back to the society.’’If I'm going to run to find Ky,it has to be soon’’, Says Cassia as she thinks about leaving the camp. ‘’Am I going to run? I've thought…
As I read the first two pages of chapter twenty I pictured what Amir had witnessed and felt an overwhelming feelings of empathy, sorrow and gratefulness that I would mostly never have to see that in my life and how when he walked through his old neighborhood all his old memories would forever be haunted by ruined and death ridden place he once called home. This is another window that shows the reader another daily event Afghan’s witnessed walking through there own or old neighborhoods. For example it said, “I had a friend there once,’ Farid said ‘he was a very good bicycle repairman. He played the tabla well too. Then Taliban killed him and his family and burned the village.” This quote was an example of one of the several thousand Afghan’s who have seen or heard of family, friends or neighbors killed by the Taliban for a plethora of unknown reasons. This two pages reveal to the audience one out of plenty troubling and horrendous ordeals that people dealt with for possible all their lives living in Afghanistan after the war.…

Did you know that there are close to fifteen thousand farms growing Christmas trees in the United States? Over one hundred thousand people are employed full or part time in the industry. My family and I always decorate the Christmas tree every Thanksgiving weekend. Decorating the tree was really exciting this year and the tree looks amazing. Decorating your Christmas tree can be fun and simple as well if you fallow these steps.…

For many people. the months December through February create a vision of happiness and holiday cheer. The thought of all the warm Christmas cookies you and your mom would make, or the pine sweet smell of your just brought home tree, you, already prepared with your basket of ornaments, dusty from being in your basement all year long. The hope of a new year, of new beginnings, of fresh snow, and coming inside from the cold to sit by the burning fire with your favorite book. Thinking of these months can stir up a great deal of memories, and for many, these memories are wonderful. For myself, they always have been. December was a symbol of happiness for me. My family would travel to come to St. Louis, we would routinely follow Christmas traditions from years before, and love was widely spread. However, last December morphed this tremendous enjoyment I got out of these winter months.…
Every Christmas, at least in my household, the argument is always brought up that people should just say Merry Christmas instead of saying Happy Holidays. People could spend hours of their day and write thousands of articles that prove which side is the actually correct. This article suggests that there is nothing wrong with saying Merry Christmas because it is two simple words that embody goodwill and goodwill. The author also backs up their belief with the fact that they are Jewish and still enjoy when people wish him a Merry Christmas. Although, the idea that people argue about this every Christmas is just absurd and amusing. Twain also satirized religion by showing how amusing some christians are. For example, Twain comments about Miss…
