He was very shocked because he thought he locked the door before, but I guess he didn't. He thought to himself “ wow, good thing it is the night or else we would be out of money and business because of that animal. He looked in the bird section, monky section, element section, and many more, but he couldn't find the penguin. The only two places he didn't look in where the fish exhibit and the, oh no would he have gone in the lion section, if he had I would get fired for shere. So he ran to the lion exhibit but the

One could almost see Bowker’s stressed, confused, yet accepting face through the words in the letter. He’s pouring out his thoughts about life and his place in it, all along the way thinking about what he has said and what he’s going to say next as seen in the second part of the letter that Bowker shows: “God, this is starting to sound like some jerkoff vet crying in his beer. Sorry about that.” (150). It’s here that the roller coaster of emotion levels out a little bit and we can see direct evidence of Bowker start to use this letter as a platform for self-reflection. Generally self-reflection is supposed to be used to identify personal issues to fix them and eventually make yourself into a happier, better person. Here, Bowker attempts to…

For this reason, I chose this passage since this was the moment that Beli's life has permanently altered subsequent that unmerciful beating occurrence. This passage stood out while I was reading it and left an impression of heartbreak knowing the pain that Beli had to endure. After that merciless beating, I believe Beli lost confidence in humanity and died on the inside. In fact, I do not approve of violence also I disapprove of men laying a hand on any women under any circumstances. Beli's boyfriend Gangster took advantage of her because she was young and naive. Meanwhile, Beli fell for all of Gangster's dishonesty and believe all of his broken promises. Older men tend to take advantage of young girls and mold them when they are…

As I read the first two pages of chapter twenty I pictured what Amir had witnessed and felt an overwhelming feelings of empathy, sorrow and gratefulness that I would mostly never have to see that in my life and how when he walked through his old neighborhood all his old memories would forever be haunted by ruined and death ridden place he once called home. Happiness. Happiness and enthusiasm were my first emotions I felt upon hearing about this assignment. I would get to do something kind, for a grade! As soon as the assignment was given, I got right to work on this essay, with my act already in mind. This past December, my friend discovered she had cancer in her hip, which was starting to spread to other parts of her body such as her other hip, her back, and her shoulders. She began to undergo chemotherapy right away, making her extremely sick all the time. Before all of this happened, we used to joke about food and the fact that she ate like our brothers, despite being a stick. Yet with the chemo, the constant tests, and all the stress, she just couldn’t keep anything down. These new changes made her depressed, ashamed, and more isolated. All of this made me extremely upset, as she had always been such a positive, humorous, confident, and fun-loving girl that I looked up to and could always count on.…
