This theme of evil is established at the start of the play when the witches appear. The witches tell Macbeth about his supposed fate. For instance, they tell him that he will become king. The mere appearance of the witches to him is enough to set the theme of evil within supernatural that defines the rest of the play, this then defines the character of Macbeth.
All throughout the play, Shakespeare hints many pair of opposites such as loyalty/unloyalty, honesty/dishonesty, bravery/cowardice, order/disorder.
