Did the milling serve to do electronic
Did the milling serve to do electronic processes?
No, It didn’t. Milling served to do mechanical processes. In early years, milling was often viewed as only a roughing operation to be followed by finishing with a hand file. The idea of reducing hand filing was more important than replacing it.
Were the milling machines involving?
Yes, they were. Milling machines were evolving from the practice of rotary filing.

Computer Numerical Control
A computer numerically controlled mill, or CNC Mill, made precise or production parts with little intervention by the operator. Precise measuring instruments and special motor called stepping motors moved the head and the table, selected tools and machine the parts to precise dimensions that were difficult or too time consuming to do manually. The operator should still be a trained machinist to ensure the machine operated correctly, was set up properly and had the necessary tools to perform the task. Programming might be done manually at a computer terminal, at the machine itself, or came from computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software in conjunction with computer-aided design (CAD) software.

The activities I did in my workshop were:

I first read the guide
Then, I looked for some information about English grammar
I also tried to understand the explanations about past simple and past progressive
I read the text about Milling
I looked for some vocabulary in the dictionary.

26.1 Why are the nontraditional material removal processes important? Answer. Reasons for importance of are nontraditional material removal processes (1) the need to shape new metal alloys and non-metals that are difficult to machine by conventional processes; (2) the requirement of unusual and complex workpart geometries; and (3) the need to avoid surface damage which is often associated with conventional machining. 26.2 There are four categories of nontraditional machining processes, based on principal energy form. Name the four categories. Answer. The four categories are (1) mechanical, but not including conventional machining; (2) electrical; (3) thermal; and (4) chemical. 26.3 How does the ultrasonic machining process work? Answer. In ultrasonic machining, abrasives contained in a slurry are driven at high velocity against the work by a tool vibrating at low amplitude and high frequency. The tool oscillates in a direction perpendicular to the work surface, and is fed slowly into the work, so that the shape of the tool is formed in the part. The abrasives, impinging against the work surface, perform the chip removal. 26.4 Describe the water jet cutting process. Answer. Water jet cutting uses a high-pressure, high-velocity stream of water directed at the work surface to cut the work. 26.5 What is the difference between water jet cutting, abrasive water jet cutting, and abrasive jet cutting? Answer. WJC cuts with a narrow, high velocity water stream; AWJC adds abrasive grits to the water stream; and AJM cuts with abrasive particles that have been added to a high velocity air stream. 26.6 26.7 Name the three main types of electrochemical machining. Electrochemical machining (ECM) is a method of removing metal by an electrochemical process. It is normally used for mass production and is used for working extremely hard materials or materials that are difficult to machine using conventional methods.[1] Its use is limited to electrically conductive materials. ECM can cut small or odd-shaped angles, intricate contours or cavities in hardened exotic metals, such as titanium aluminised, Inconel, Waspalloy, and high nickel, cobalt, and rhenium alloys. Both external and internal geometries can be machined.ECM is often characterized as "reverse electroplating," in that it removes material instead of adding it.…

Before we discuss what an MES is and does, we need a brief history lesson on the use of computers in manufacturing. The late 1960’s saw the first steps of automated manufacturing processes away from electro-mechanical and pneumatic control and towards the use of computers. By the mid-1970’s the Computer-Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) automation revolution was in full swing. The development of manufacturing using digital microprocessor controlspawned software tools that allowed improved manufacturing design and control through use of process modeling and process segment control schemes. Computer integration also allowed the replacement of mimic busses and panel boards with graphic user interfaces. Local unit controllers were developed and the growth and standardization of digital communications connectivity allowed connected controllers to evolve into distributed control systems.…
