In Norse mythology there are nine different worlds that was the home to several different types of creatures that existed before the pre-Christian era. The Nine worlds are exist on the branches and roots of the world-tree Yggdrasil. The Nine Worlds are Midgard, Asgard, Vanaheim, Jotunheim, Niflheim, Muspelheim, Alfheim, Svartalfheim and Nidavellir.2
Midgard: Midgard was the home of the humans. Midgard is located in the middle of the world. Midgard and Asgard is linked together by the Rainbow Bridge ‘Bifrost’ which allowed the gods and goddesses go down to the world of the humans.
Asgard: Asgard is the world of the Aesir and home to the gods and goddesses. Asgard is located in the middle of the world and is very high up in the sky. There are different names for the gods and goddesses which are Aesir for the men , and the female gods are Asynjur. The ruler of Asgard is Odin who is married to Frigg who us the Queen of Asgard.
