Odin:
Odin was the king of Asgard and the ruler of Aesir he was also the lord of war, death and knowledge. Odin had two ravens Hugin and Munin, everyday he sent them to gather information. Whenever Odin travelled he rode on an eight-legged horse named Sleipnir and two wolves Geri and Freki also accompanied him.
Odin had a throne in the hall of Asgard; here he observed all that happened in the nine realms.
Odin had great power he could cause a war on earth by simply throwing his spear, the Vikings worshipped odin because he decided who would win battles.

Vikings believed that it was important to take time on funerals and burials, so they could send their friends and family to a good afterlife. In the Nordic religion cremation and inhumation where the ways that they buried the dead, cremation was burning of the body and inhumation was berrying the body. They believed that the afterlife you reached depended on how you lived; warriors who died in battle received the best afterlife.

Folkvangr: was another place for warriors but the goddess Freya ruled this place. She got to choose half the dead warriors to live with her in the afterlife.
Helgafjell: this is also known as holy mountain, a place for people who did not die in battle but lived a good life.
Helheim: this was the worst outcome for the norse afterlife, it was cold and dark and was ruled by goddess Hel. This was the place for Norse people who died in a dishonourable way, old age or
