Differences Between Morrie And Mary Blocke
Certain ideals we humans hold are common throughout all cultures and worldviews. A man like Morrie can have ideas which resonate with people no matter what background they come from. Even so, there is a profound difference between a person who acquires their worldview through their own deduction and one who obtains it from the Author of wisdom. I noticed interesting differences between Morrie's worldview and the worldviews of my dad and Mary Blocke, the people I interviewed. These philosophies differ mostly in regards to the role of religion, what constitutes a meaningful life, and how to relate to society.
Religion can have a lot of different connotations and for many people, they are bad. With this, Mary Blocke (a retired missionary)
