The regifter won’t need to waste money on driving to a store and shuffling through crowds of people to find a gift. They can check their box of gifts they didn’t like and pass one on to someone else. They won’t spend any money on the individual gift or the cost of gas, or take a day off of work to go to a humongous sale where they can possibly get hurt. They can sit at home, sip their eggnog, and enjoy having less stress in their life and more pocket money.
There are some stipulations for regifting. It’s not a good idea to regift a handmade gift because it was made just for the receiver and might not be up to par with something they can get from the store. If they plan on regifting something, they should avoid using it. Their peers might notice it’s something they’ve used or worn before and feel like a burden or uncared for because of it. Lastly, they shouldn’t tell anyone it was a regift, especially the receiver or the original gifter.
In short, regifting is a good choice with unwanted gifts because it is practical, eco-friendly, and
