They will be expected to monitor vital signs and make judgments in a managerial capacity more than ADN nurses. They will also be expected to put the patient themselves in the wider context of the community, which means accessing more information. Whilst ADN nurses are also expected to have knowledge of nursing research and protocols, BSN nurses are expected to use this more in their practice and therefore provide up-to-date care for all
