Dirt Bike Riding Dirt bike riding is a fun sport for all ages. I have been dirt bike riding since I was twelve years old. I have been on mountain tops, seen wild-life, and had many great adventures. Riding dirt bikes has given me an opportunity to explore some of my favorite trails and off road sites. Riding can also be a great escape or a fun exercise for anyone who needs relief from their strenuous schedules. Many of these trails cannot be traveled to without the means of an off road machine or a serious hike on foot. One of my favorite places to ride is between Francis Peak and Bountiful Peak. There is a trail there that my friends and I always ride. The trail is called Buckland flats. This is not an easy ride, but once we’ve reached the top the views are extraordinary. We can see the entire valley to the west as well as everything to the east, but this isn’t the only exciting part of riding. The wildlife that we can see is amazing as well. On several rides I have encountered many animals. One time I was flying around a steep corner in the mountains and almost ran into a moose! This isn’t the only time I’ve seen a moose in the wild, but it was very neat being able to get as close as I was. I have also seen many different types of birds as well as deer, elk, chipmunks, and porcupine. Aside from the views and wildlife I have encountered, the adventures and exploring is the greatest part of riding. To me, there is nothing better than being in complete solitude away from civilization. There is a great feeling that accompanies being at high altitude. After a rough ride through the trees and up hills it is really satisfying to have a sit with a few buddies and enjoy a snack with a breathtaking view. What an experience it is to witness nature in complete peace and to realize that I still have a long, gnarly ride back to the truck. All in all, I think there is a lot more to dirt bike riding than hitting massive
