Disability refers to the social effects of physical, emotional, or mental impairment. Disabled people are human, just like us.Thus, they should be treated like us.
They should not be punished for their disability, and shouldn’t been treated unfairly.
Nobody in this world likes to be alone or ignored. Also, no one likes to feel unacceptable or stupid. When we live in a world where everyone refuses or ignores us, we will do things that we never thought we would do. In the world of human disabilities, people are suffering and are fighting to prove themselves. Here, these people challenge, and deal with their disability. Handicaps should be treated with dignity and respect. We shouldn’t ignore or mistreat anyone for being disabled. We should …show more content…
respect them because they have to put forth more effort than we do. Daily activities, such as riding a bus or going to the mall would be a big challenge for handicapped.
In fact, the people in the world who are not handicapped would not be able to do half of what disabled people have been doing.
An example of this is Forrest Gump. Forrest Gump, by Robert Zemeckis, is a very interesting movie and presents a man (Forrest Gump) who tells his story and how he had has an interesting life. When he was a child, he had to have a special metal brace attached to his legs to straighten them. Also, his IQ was too low for him to get in to public school.
The movie presents Forrest Gump as an innocence person. On the first day of school, when he got on the school bus, nobody accepted him and all of the students ignored him except for Jenny. In addition, a group of bullies on their bicycles chase and bothere
Forrest. This scene shows us how some people treat and deal with disabled persons. In fact, this is not fair because the disabled people are part of us, and they can do more than we can. Later, the movie shows us that this innocence person (Forrest Gump) becomes famouse and good in football and ping-pong. In conclusion, Forrest Gump is a very intersting movie that really makes you view the world around you and consider
how you should treat people. Also, the movie has a good message that tells us that the disabled can do more than others, and that they may become successes in their lives. This would be a new outlookon life. I would hope that, one day, our society would accept handicapped and do more to accommodate their needs. Still, in the present not all public places have fair accessible. Also, most entertainment events are not accessible for the
handicapped.
