Training Title: Discrimination Training Content Proposal and Scenarios
Training Description: DISCRIMINATION IS AGAINST THE LAW! This training will identify the purpose of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, by Federal Law prohibiting employers from discriminating against employees on the basis of sex, race, color, national origin and religion. There will be four opening scenarios for each discrimination act.

The Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 (ADEA)
Title I and Title V of Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990

She has proven to be hard working and motivated to work in order to support her children. English is her second language and her English speaking is fair but she does not write well. She has worked in two supermarkets bagging groceries, and in a hospital cafeteria. She has struggled with her psychiatric illness for the past 8 years and her exact diagnoses have been unclear. Several functional limitations, however, have been identified:
She has trouble sustaining energy level through the day.
She is easily distracted.
She is hyperverbal – tends to talk too much both on and off the job.
She is very sensitive to change especially change of people in the work environment.
She has trouble meeting deadlines.
Through Marlene’s psychiatric rehabilitation program, she has been offered a position in a nursing home where she works 25 hours per week in the laundry. This also requires that she go into the patients’ rooms to get the dirty laundry and bring it to be
