We are living in a so called "technologically civilized" society. Every small work we do is technology dependent. The concept of technology does not come to us as a surprise, since we have been depending on technology for decades. Ultimately, we can say that, “living without technology is like living without air" in this technical world of today and we are much dependent on technology. The most important characteristics of our era may be the transformation, transmission and domination of information.
Starting with the simple example of food storage, today the shelf life of the food products is increased with help of modern technology and even preparation time of food is reduced with the help of new machines and equipment. Thus, making the consumer to have an ease at its consumption and also in saving a lot of productive time. Ultimately, making the person dependent on it for his own benefits. This is unlike to the times of traditional cooking where people had to spare time and even do physical labor compared to the modern technically advanced time of today.
Since the arrival of the Internet, people consider communication on of the most important things and as a result of this need for Internet is Wi-Fi; nowadays, if a device does not have Wi-Fi signal it is useless because people need to tell everyone what they had for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A great example of this would be the new televisions with Wi-Fi signal, a few years ago –maybe even two years ago– this idea would have sounded stupid, but today it seems fundamental because now the whole family will be able to video chat with a relative that lives abroad from the comfort of their living room and principally because the video chat service is for free.
