Disrespect has no place in the Army. Disrespect will get you no where is the Army or life engeneral. Its a fast way to get you an article 15 or worse, out of the Army. Being disrespectful towards anyone will ruin comradie and effect mission readiness. How are others going to follow orders and get the job done if someone in the team, squad, or platoon doesn't follow a simple task and disobey an easy order as saying the soldiers creed when thats probably one of the first things you learn in the Army. I guess that might be the reason why i didn't want to do it. I have said it countless times so why do i have to do it?
When you look at the bigger picture than you or in this case I should have realized that an Non Commissioned Officer was telling me to do something. In this case it was not against the law or immoral in any way. I should have just said it and i would've been on my way. In most cases NCOs are trying to help the younger soldiers and get them on the path to become an NCO and maybe one day lead other soldiers. The bigger picture is what everyone should look at. The NCOs are there for a reason and earned that rank for a reason. In no way should a soldier ever disrespect an NCO. Sergeant Robinson was trying to help me and get me ready for the soldier of the month board. Disrespecting him was the wrong thing to do and he did not deserve that. I have defiantly learned my lesson on disrespect and disobedience. Following orders is a big part of the Army. Not just in combat but every aspect of the Army. It starts every day PT. Everyone shows up for PRT and conducts PRT the way they were ordered to. After that its time for work and you have to show up in the right uniform at the right time. If you fail to follow any of the orders you just mess up the whole
