rejecting alternatives. Identity is another theme presented in the novel, demonstrating a close
similarity or affinity. These two themes show how Tris makes a choice in despite of her identity.

The goal that this society achieved by dividing people into factions was the complete control
and order of what occurred in the society. This control gives them an important role and
organization throughout this society. Also, it identifies each faction with specific values and rules
that not everyone can keep or do. That’s why there is also aptitude tests to see in what faction
the people can be and it’s also an choosing thing depending on the skills that you have. It can
