Diversity And Inequality

Diversity and Inequality has affected almost every minority race. The treatment based on one’s culture, beliefs, or tradition, does not have to be a health determinant, if only people could take time to understand it. Unfortunately, history indicates socioeconomic, environmental, behavior and many other determining factors create inequality. Besides, researches show that the prominent causes of health inequality are poverty and economic inequality. Although, certain races experience detriments of illness, disease, or the opportunity to attain a better health, due to their race or ethnicity, lack of education, lower income, or geographic location, cannot prefect better health. The fact that restricted re-distribution of resources and policies
makes minority unable to afford health care or treatments create concerns. The understanding of culture and diversity is essential when developing an operational and unbiased public health approach and mediation.
