In my opinion, diversity is being different in numerous categories. A few categories could be how you look, your beliefs, or your ethnicity. “Diversity is used broadly to refer to many demographic variables, including, but not limited to, race, religion, color, gender, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, age, education, geographic origin, and skill characteristics.” Retrieved from www.doi.gov…

Diversity is defined in the dictionary as "the condition of being different." A crucial mistake many people make is to equate diversity with "race" and "culture". They think diversity is about "what Hispanics are like" or "what Europeans are like". “This approach is inherently flawed because it reinforces stereotypes and promotes an "us versus them" mentality. Diversity extends far beyond race and culture to include a number of dimensions of differences”. Loden and Rosener (1991). Valuing diversity recognizes differences between people and acknowledges that these differences are a valued asset. It also respects individuality while promoting respect for others.…

Diversity is the way that everything and everybody is different. We all have various qualities that make us who we are. We all have our own individual set of qualities and we may share some of these with others we meet or have nothing in common at all. Diversity refers to the state of fact of being diverse, different, or unlike. In a way that means that everyone is extraordinary, unique, and different. That all of us have talents, gifts, abilities, and experiences that offers us with our own important messages to share. Diversity can also refer to a state in which different and often conflicting views, ideas, items, or objects are accommodated within one system. It is the acceptance and respect for the differecences that different people possesss. I feel that I am diverse just by how I feel and think about things. I noticed that I have different and, sometimes, conflicting points of view with other people, but I am okay with that. Being diverse isn't bad. I can also say I am diverse in how live my life. My way of living my life is different from many others and other's lives are different from everyone else as well. That is diversity it's culture, religion, and ways of thinking. There are many different kinds and they all should learn to coincide with each other.…

Diversity means that every individual is different and unique. No matter what your language, race, sexual orientation, gender, age, religion or physical ability, we all form one diverse group. You will never find two people exactly the same as everyone is from different backgrounds and walks of life. I see a diverse group in my setting as all the children are from different backgrounds. I personally think that children need to understand the importance of diversity from an early age so they can recognise and see that they are all individuals.…
Diversity means differences in ethnicity, heritage, customs, beliefs and values. It could be someone’s physical appearance, mental capabilities, etc. I teach the children in my care that their personal identity which is formed from a young age allows them to realise they are their own person. Diversity is positive and should be respected and valued because nobody is completely the same as anyone else. Telling them that being different from everyone else makes us unique, and that we must value the diversity and differences that surround us, in order to work together to make our society a positive place to live.…
Diversity is when you have a great of amount of variety; very different. Diversity can be different gender, religion, sexuality or race. I grew up in Puerto Ricon then moved to America at the age 7. In America I saw a tremendous diversity then in Puerto Rico. I continued to see as I entered college. African-American, Caucasians, Indians, etc students sit to my left and right.. I learned about their culture and their stories. Some of which my eyes widen as I hear how they got here to America, not all of them bought a ticket and flied over here. I can relate to some of their economics problem for my single mother couldn't even afford a 25 cent donut for my sister when we were younger.…
