This quote by Ricky Maye explains my role as a future pastor, and being open about experiences, faith, and God's grace; can shine light where there is darkness. This paper will describe how I have found my divine design and the steps that need to be taken to follow my divine design. The resources used to help find my calling were Ingle, Kent. This Adventure Called Life: Discovering Your Divine Design by Kent Ingle ,MBTI, and the spiritual gift survey. As of now God is asking me to take a step of faith without knowing where my next step is going. I can grow in my faith by being in constant prayer and grow in the knowledge of the Lord. the United States Army assisting soldiers with the adaption to civilizian life and families compieng with loosing or waiting for the arrival of soldiers to come home. I will be his vessel so that he may speak through me to people who need to hear from God. God has given me the spiritual gift of apostleship, service, and exhortation these gifts were confirmed in the spirituality survey. I naturally had the ability to connect with people even sI was also gifted with the ability to sing, music has a way of expressing things and conveying things in a way that regular words cannot. I knew that I was blessed with these gift and natural talents when I was younger I had realized this when I went on my missions trip to Belize in August, I felt that God was calling me to be a light and reach the unreached and to help those who need a revival in their own lives. Service is a gift I had received when I stepped into my grandmother's church at the age of 14 and was apart of the church choir, helped lead sunday school, worked at the thrift shop, and the hot dog stands during the summer. I realized how much it took to run a church and that if we claim to be christians we need to be the arms and legs of Christ serving the community as Jesus did. Exhortation occurred when I was first saved at 14, I had already lost so many family members to a variety of circumstances. God helped me to realize that life on this earth is only but dash and heaven or hell is eternity after your physical death. I had also realized that though we may not know the time at which God will come back to this earth, I had the feeling that it was sooner than expected . These feelings made it my duty to speak life into the spiritually I can use those to further the God's kingdom by . I find that I am very passionate about singing and helping people. Worship brings the presence of God to the congregation. This allows for people to have an intimate moment with Christ that could bring someone to Christ. Helping others is what is most important to me. I have learned from personal experience serving food alone gives faith to those who didn't think they would have a meal for not only themselves but for there family. If these people know that they have a dependable meal they are more likely to come back. When families come back we are then able to build that relationship with that allows us to discuss faith, which in turn wins hearts for Christ. Worship and serving go hand in hand with my divine design. Worship myself the ability to repent of my sins and ask God to cleanse me and speak through me. Helping people will be the main part of my ministry seeing that each person I encounter knows that they are loved. I will also ensure that my community. I found out many things about myself through the MBTI, personal reflection, and through people. My MBTI was not much different from my personal assessment only being one off of four. According to the MBTI my personality type is extraversion sensing thinking and judging and the only difference in my personal assessment was feelings rather than thinking. All three say that I am outspoken, and assertive when expressing my opinions. Pastors need to speak their voice whether it be something positive like a vision for the church or negative for holding someone accountable for their actions. Not only that but Pastors need to confident in the choices they are making with the church as the leader of the church many people will look up to me for guidance. “ Through transformation we are shaped into the divine design Gad has in mind for us(Ingle,89).” Going to camp eighth grade year was single handedly one the best life changing events.
Before attending camp I found myself in the wrong group of kids whom encouraged me to beat people up or harass my teachers. But when I went to camp I truly gave it all to God and he spoke to my life. I began to think is ministry what God wants me to pursue. I had received confirmation when my pastor spoke about the same thing that the camp director did. I knew it was a sign from God confirming my future.
My goal for this year is to start tithing regardless of being a college student or not. Not only do I want to tithe but give with a joyful heart. Volunteering and using your gifts and talents are great but if I want to furthers God's Kingdom I need to tithe so the money can go towards the church and its needs to provide for itself, community, and missionaries, so that Christ can be spread. I as a pastor will tithe to the church so it furthers God's kingdom rather than my
own.
God has called me to be to a little to people from all over the world. My abilities, passions and values, personality, and life experiences are all working together to support my divine design God has already been working as he has found me a home church here in Florida. God has also gave me a vision for new ministry called C2C a mobile ministry, which stands for Christ 2 Communities. This ministry will provide food clothing and most importantly the gospel.
