As a physician with Doctors without Borders (MSF) , the day to day tasks include everything that a regular doctor would do and much more. A doctor in the middle of Uganda may, or may not, have the same supplies that a doctor in the United States will have; supplies that is available will be scarce and may require choices that need to be made when it comes to saving someone’s life. The physicians who work with MSF are on call 24/7 and may be the only medical aid for hundreds of miles; the hours are long and the work is never done.
A doctor applying to MSF will need to be a certified doctor with several years of experience. Nurses, physician’s assistants, and dentist, among others, are needed as well. A position
