These special-interest groups’ focuses on what resolving their particular interests are vs. trying to change a political or social agenda. As long as there have been animals that have been mistreated or used for testing purposes, there has been plenty of motivation for the ALF to strike out against the animal violators. Currently in Wisconsin a bill is being introduce to target animal-rights activists that harass hunters before and during hunting season. (Orrick 2015) These activists are violating the rights of these hunters, by video taping them and following them to their homes, or into the woods. Hopefully this bill is designed to aid in the de-escalation of this special-interest group from crossing the line and becoming a domestic terrorist.
The last type of Domestic Terrorist that will be discussed is the radicalized persons. A good example of radicalized persons is the Boston Bombers. The two brothers that were involved in the bombing of the Boston Marathon had developed over the years an extreme Islamic belief. These beliefs were finally turned radical when they decided to kill participants of the 2013 Boston Marathon.
