This would have helped Nicole know she wasn’t alone and that she had supporters and options to help her. Nicole could have be recommended to stay a shelter or in protective custody. There are many resources that law enforcement could have partnered up with to get Nicole help with psychological counseling, group therapy, etc. Depending on the assistance the victim needs or request the assistance can be found in Victims Resources @ http://vcgcb.ca.gov/resources.aspx . Unfortunately in this case it is too late. In the O.J. Simpson trail they should have investigated a little deeper when interrogating his previous ex-wife and children. They should have done a lot of things differently, but failed to do so. After work every day Joann jogs to her mother’s house at around 8pm to spend the night to help take care of her.
