Especially habits. Biting your nails can be a way of relieving stress. In another way, it's an infection! You may be surprised how such a common thing can be overlooked. The overlooking can be a big mistake. Simple things like putting your nails in your mouth are taken for granted. Think about what your nails have touched and accumulated throughout the day. You're putting that into your mouth. By shredding away at your nails, you are not only exposing the more tender areas of the nail that could bleed, you're grinding your teeth. Are you surprised yet? Well there's more to come. Trying to avoid warts? Nail-Biters beware! By wetting your fingers you are increasing the chance of them! Who wants warts? That's just gross! Don't take this too personal, Nail-Biters. I'm just trying to show you some reasons why you should quit. Look, just to let you know that I'm on your side, I'll give you some tips. You can wear gloves around the house to prevent this behavior. Or, you can buy a special clear nail polish that has an unpleasant taste when bitten. I hope you've obtained a new perspective after reading the consequences of such a common habit. Now that you can see the bad things, I hope you change your mind. Not only are you breaking a nasty habit, you're giving yourself a healthier future. Get it right and stop the bite!
