Crossing the border into college can be troubling for most people because of the obstacles they might be facing. I have faced an obstacle, I had a lack of confidence. Before I was getting ready to enroll, I knew that I needed to get a higher education if I wanted to become successful in the career path I had chosen. I had thought to myself over and over about not being smart enough. All the thoughts going through my head lead me to believe I would not amount to anything or just simply fail. However, deep down I knew I wanted success in life more than anything. In my mind, it was a psychological battle of constantly thinking negatively or positively. Sooner or later along the road, she had two kids to raise while attending Mount Hood Community College through a program called Women In Transition (WIT).
