Drug Cartel In Mexico
Drug cartels are a major issue in Mexico that can be solved by improving the criminal justice system and also by improving international relations with countries that are affected.
The drug cartels in Mexico are not only affecting Mexico but also the United States of America. The crime is not only increasing in Mexico but also here. Major companies such as banks and different companies are laundering money and hiring protection for these drug cartels. The cartels will do anything to keep selling and receiving money. The problem is affecting a lot of people. Nearly sixty thousand people have died in Mexico due to the cartels.The people associated with these major cartels don't care who they hurt or kill they …show more content…
We need to A to eliminate the root cause of crime. We need to level the paying field and invest big time in education. By acting aggressive this will make the youth want to go for better paying jobs and also find alternatives to criminality. B we need to reform the Judicial branch. Right now the judicial system is very slow, unorganized, unfair and corrupt. If we change these four things then we can get the right people in jail in an organized way, also if we speed up the process of putting people in jail and making decisions we can get some of these terrible cartel involved people into prison where they belong. C is that we professionalize our police forces, by doing, so we can make sure the people we hire are qualified and won't help the cartels. Also by hiring smart cops that will investigate until the end to stop these cartels from getting away with the things they are doing. D is that we use NATIONAL security and not diplomatic discourse. If we use national security it will set a defining direction. We use foreign affairs to address and tackle security issues anyway. This will let us all share information and tackle the security issues as a whole. Lastly we have joint border partnership with US and Canada. Doing so will strengthen ties with our regional allies. We hire these people to protect us and they have to train more and be a lot better and be more like investigators so this is a plus for everyone because they actually look into things and try to find the root cause of what is actually going on and they have to really be involved in the cartels business which isn't always easy or good for them. The law enforcement is a big role when dealing with the cartels, if we didn't have law enforcement we really would be in danger and our country wouldn’t be ruled that well because then people would easily assassinate people in the government and in higher jobs. The cartels make the demand on illegal drugs decrease because now there are drug dealers from the cartels and so all the money goes to them
