It is your responsibility to report child abuse under certain circumstances. Things to consider whether to report an incident or not would be; do you have reasonable belief that the abuse is happening, is there harm being done, is there physical injury involved, sexual abuse, and is this instance something that the parents are not able to protect the child. If these questions point that a report should be made then you should report or it could be considered a crime if it is not reported. Professionals working with young people are obligated to report these incidences depending on youth laws and the organization that you work for.
