Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol Analysis

To start off I would like to explain the process of the DNS. DNS stands Domain name sever. The DNS is Hierarchical naming system for computers, services, or any resource participating in the Internet. In other words it makes it possible to assign domain names to groups of Internet users in a meaningful way, independent of each user 's physical location. Because of this WWW hyperlinks and Internet contact information can remain consistent and constant even if the current Internet routing arrangements change or the participant uses a mobile device. Internet domain names are easier to remember than IP addresses Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol or DHCP for short allows a computer to join an IP-based network without having a pre-configured
IP address. DHCP is a protocol that assigns unique IP addresses to devices, then releases and renews these addresses as devices leave and re-join the network. Now is worth setting up a DHCP with only two computers? I believe so because you will either way need to have your DHCP assign IP addresses and keep everything organize because you never know what will be added to your network. For example a network printer or a phone if you have a DHCP sever you won’t have to worry about conflict in IP Addresses.
In conclusion having a DHCP sever keeps your network organize due to the fact that everything has to communicate with the DHCP because the DORA method. Without the DHCP it would be rather hard inputting all the information and time consuming. Thank god for DHCP.
