The purpose of this paper is to outline and explain the universal model which will be used for all when planning their spiritual formation. As you may very well know, this is a thoughtful process and one must be prepared to be a follower of Christ. This formation will consist of three parts; childhood growth, teenage growth, adult growth, and spiritual growth. Each part of this model must be completed by all, if they plan to get to the kingdom of God. As a reminder you must complete each part of this formation to be successful.
Childhood Growth – This is the beginning of the development stage of the child’s life. The child must be given up to God by means of Baptism. The grace of the Holy Spirit has the power to justify us that is, to cleanse us from our sins and to communicate to us the righteousness of God though faith in Jesus Christ and through Baptism. At this stage the child should begin to learn how to act when they are in God house (Church), and how to say prayers and learn who God is. They should also be introduced to the Bible and some of God teachings. Doing this phase, everything being learned by the child should be taught in such a way it is easy to understand and easy to comprehend. The young child should know about Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Penance or Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick and the Holy orders of Matrimony. These are the Catholic Church beliefs and teachings.
