In the early twenties of the age they have begun talking and thinking about marriage. For some, they accept and assume this as common in Malay traditions and communities, but for others, they consider that this situation and phenomenon should be changed as in line with current developments. However, as we all know, there must be solid and concrete reasons of why people do something, even though those things are something bizarre or unusual from our point of view. Girls in many cultures have very strong courageous mind sets for allowing an illegal act to be performed, to marry at a young age. “Parents know about the illegality of such marriages, but in West Bengal, considered an intellectually progressive state, only two cases were registered in 2005 under the Child Restraint Act” (Dhar). Focus of this paper is mostly on child brides rather than child grooms, because child brides are more common than child grooms. This kind of marriage hinders women’s standing in society and causes women to be seen as an object instead of a human being. Causes of early marriage can be listed as; imposing and patriarchal society, social values and traditions, poverty, unemployment. But the most important reason is lack of education. First, let’s look at the concept of “child bride”. According to Turkish Civil Law, a bride under the age of 17 is a child bride but according to UNICEF “Child marriage is defined as a formal marriage or informal union entered into by an individual before reaching the age of 18.” (p.35). Of course marriage in this concept is not a legal marriage, what is meant by marriage is a religious marriage.…

So, happiness in marriage cannot be taken for granted, it must be continuous happiness that will requires constant giving from both sides.
