God was present the whole time and never left his side. Throughout the book of Ecclesiastes,
Solomon shows us the difference between acknowledging God and going our own way. He states in Ecclesiastes 11:5-9, "As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything. In the morning sow your seed, and at evening withhold not your hand, for you do not know which will prosper, this or that, or whether both alike will be good. "Evening withhold not your hand," tells you to never stop doing good.
Just because the sun may go down at night doesn't mean we change our whole attitude and actions. We need to be the same person morning and night.
Ecclesiastes 11:7, "Light is sweet, and it is pleasant for the eyes to see the sun." Is a representation of God's glory and our good works. At the bottom of my bible it says "the Hebrew term hebel can refer to a 'vapor' or 'mere breath.'" According to experimentaltheology.blogspot.com, hebel is know to
Pippin 4 be translated into two different words. The first translation is the King James Version translating it to "vanity." The definition of vanity is "the quality of being worthless or futile" or "excessive pride in or admiration of one's own appearance or achievements." The New Living Translation and New International Version translate hebel as "meaningless."
Ecclesiastes 11:9 states, "'Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth. Walk in the ways of your heart and the sight of your eyes. But know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment." You can be free to do whatever you want. God has given you the option to follow him or follow your own ways. As long as you freely go through life, you must make sure you remember that there will be a judgement day in Heaven. Nothing that you do is a secret because God knows everything you do. Solomon had experienced and witnessed life with and without God. This passage I chose focuses on wisdom and life as a whole. Though we may think we know everything and have
