After getting kicked out of school Poe went to his Aunt Maria Clemm where he married his cousin Virginia. When they got married, Poe was the age of 27 and Virginia was the age of 13. He loved Virginia and they moved to NY to publish writing. There he got a steady income. Then he moved to London to publish more work. However Virgina died of tuberculosis, which cause Poe to start drinking again. (He had a bad reaction to tragedy.)
