Education Difference in the US and in India
Have ever did comparison in education between in your country and in the US? Each country has own education rules and it may differ than any other country. India is my native country, and India has same courses as the US has. However, many courses in colleges/universities are the same as in the US, there are three differences in education system.
First in India, students have to choose their major in 10th grade, unlike in the US. In India students have to choose one option in between three for their major. Three majors are science, commerce, and arts. In science there are also 2 options they have to choose one is math and other is biology. After choose your major after 10th grade, they continues their education with chosen major in 11th and 12th grade. After completed high school they can choose any degree related their major. For example, my friend took major in biology, science, so she can choose any doctoral course/degree related as long as biology. She chose pharmacy and now she is a pharmacist in well-known drugs company in India. On the other hand in the US students have to choose their major after 12th grade in college. They can choose any major as they want. However, in India students cannot choose other degree which is not related to their major. For example, science student cannot choose degree in commerce like b.a or b.com. In short, In India students have to choose their major after 10th class, unlike the students in the US. Second major difference is students cannot choose their class schedule in India, on the other hand In the US students can choose whatever class time and day as suitable for them. In India, students don't have to choose how many classes they want in semester, and what time they can come for classes. It is already fixed in India with degree or courses. For example, in engineering there is fix 7 semester for bachelor degree. Moreover,

Relations to other family members are kept close and social life if very necessary for survival. Where as in the states, many kids find their own way as soon as they are 18 years old. Many families lack the relationships that are needed to keep the family together. Family members rarely see each other.…

In his essay, “Indian Education”, published in the story collections The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven in 1993, Sherman Alexie highlights how he ultimately overcame the hardships suffered during his early years due to his Indian ethnicity and displays how Native Americans were, and continue, to suffer from discrimination. With the use of clever identically constructed sentences to contrast his academic ascendency with the decline of those around him, powerful segment conclusions to create a spatial effect between different periods of his life in relation to environment and discrimination, and a thematic transition to display how discrimination became imprinted in his mind through consecutive years of mistreatment, Alexei portrays the bitterness associated with the loss of a society.…

Education system is one of the most crucial characteristics that define one nation. Furthermore, secondary education system is especially valuable; since one’s self-esteem starts to form during adolescence. Since my parents decided to move to America when I was sixteen years old, I had a unique opportunity to be educated in two different countries, which are Korea and United States in my adolescence. Moreover, this unique opportunity always made me compare the two different education systems that I have been benefited. In fact, United States has exceptionally advanced education system that many developing countries refer to it when they build a new education system. Moreover, Korea also modeled its education system from one in America, when it underwent inevitable change of the education system from modernization. Therefore, education systems from two different countries have many similarities. However, there are much more differences between two education systems than similarities from my experience.…

Doubtlessly, different countries may have different educational systems but who knows which of them is better. I am an international student who came from Malaysia, a country which is located in Southeast Asia then came to the United States, a country which is far apart from my home country, to pursue a higher education. Many of my friends often ask me whether Malaysia or the United States is better but I could not answer them with certainty because I think each country is inimitable. Although the duration that I have been to the states is not long, I discovered that the education systems are distinct between my home country and the United States. Thus, each country has its own peculiarity as there are certain dissimilarities in the educational system in terms of rules and grading systems that exist between two nations.…

The American education system is unlike that in many other countries. Education is primarily the responsibility of state and local government, and so there is little standardization in the curriculum, for example. The individual states have great control over what is taught in their schools and over the requirements that a student must meet, and they are also responsible for the funding of schooling. Therefore, there is huge variation regarding courses, subjects, and other activities – it always depends on where the school is located. Still, there are some common points, as e.g. the division of the education system into three…
