Edward Scissor Hands (Film)- Creative Task to change a scene.

My made up conversation involves the black officer and Edward. I specifically chose these two characters because of the scene where I had got confused. At the end of the film, when the black officer had let Edward escape, I thought the black officer had let Edward go because he was just too lazy to catch him. But the real reason was, because the black officer had known how Edward had felt. The black officer knew how it felt to be different because of his race. I personally thought that the film needed an extra scene where it would’ve made the audience have a better understanding; this is why I haven’t chosen this scene.

Before my made- up scene. Edward was forced to break into Jim’s house. This was so Jim could buy his own car. Jim took advantage of Edward’s ability to pick locks and break into his parent’s house.

Just as Edward opened the door to the safe, Jim and his friends locked him in, causing the alarm to go off. Kim tried to stop Jim and demanded him to head back to save Edward. Jim refused and carried Kim back into his friends Van. “GO BACK!” Kim cried. “NO! WE ARE NOT GOING BACK!” Jim replied.
Back to Jim’s house; Edward struggles to open the doorknob. The police arrives and orders Edward to come out. The door opens and Edward comes out with his scissorhand’s raised. “DROP YOUR WEAPONS!” the black officer ordered. Edward has no weapons, the police officers did not know that Edward had scissors as hands. “DROP YOUR WEAPONS! THIS IS YOUR LAST WARNING BEFORE WE SHOOT YOU!” The officers prepared to shoot Edward.
The neighbours came out, shocked at what Edward has done. “No! No! He has scissors as hands!” Marge, one of the neighbours hesitantly explained.
