The Problem and Its Setting
This chapter presents the background of the study, conceptual framework of the study, statement of the problem, hypothesis, significance of the study, scope and delimitation, and definition of terms.
Introduction
In the modern setting where our environment is largely exploited, it is evident the government’s action regarding these issues are not yet enough. Some government and non-government organizations make their moves to fight against the deterioration of the environment, as a proof Batangas City have passed a City ordinance about the protection of the environment and natural resources. The ordinance aims to control the use of plastic bags, Styrofoam and other things harmful to the environment. And instead of these things the use of eco-friendly technology is promoted in the city. As a part of the constituents of Batangas City, the researchers come up with the study of the effects of the Batangas City E-code to Batangas State University. This study will discuss the effects of the Batangas City E-code to Batangas State University. And will help the university to have a deeper understanding about the ordinance.
Background of the Study Currently, Batangas City launched the E-Code or the Environmental Code which promotes cleanliness and prohibits the use of plastic bags, Styrofoam cups and other related materials. The effectivity of the code covers the whole city and here comes the Batangas State University Main Campus I. The study is about how the E-Code affects Batangas State University Main Campus I. It is how the code changes the way of life in the university. The study also wants to establish facts that may help to improve the effectivity of the code.
