Chapter I
INTRODUCTION

BACKGROUND AND RATIONALE Institution is one of the world’s primary factors that contribute to the development of human resources. And because of this every institution continuously implementing new ideas and strategy to develop the quality and productivity of a person. Thus, for them to give quality education and to become more productive and effective. Part of study is to evaluate the productivity of the graduates of BS Computer Engineering from Sy: 2011 _ 2012. Through this study we will be able to determine the performance of the BS Computer Engineering in their professional career after graduating in the institution. Consequently, there is need for implementing new recommendations and to effectively make the institution become more efficient in teaching. This study aims to fulfill the relevant information necessary for the performance of the graduates in order to come up with a generalization regarding the performance of BSCpE graduates of ESSU _ Borongan . The result for this will be the basis for the Department Heads of Computer Engineering & Electrical Engineering Department to manipulate either to impose new curriculum for effective and better performance of the graduates in ESSU _ Borongan .

STATE MENT OF THE PROBLEM This study aims to answer the following question: 1. What is the status of the Computer Engineering graduates in ESSU _ Borongan 2011 to 2012 in terms of the following: a) Duration of job hunt
b) Nature of employment
c) Job position
d) Promotions
e) Salary 2. What is the degree of job satisfactions of the Computer Engineering graduates in ESSU_ Borongan from 2011 to 2012?
3. What is the performance of the graduates in government examination? OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY This study aims to: 1. Determine the status of the Computer Engineering graduates in ESSU _ Borongan from 2011 to 2012 in terms of the following; a) Duration of job hunt
