Introduction:
The interconnection between music and the physical and mental health of human beings has been researched since long. The research has concluded that music does have positive effects on the mind and brain of human beings. Music has the power of healing certain ailments. Indian classical music has been found to have the strongest healing powers. Be it about fighting anxiety, be it about speeding the healing process, music is the answer to all the queries. 1)
Meaning of Music :
According to Jean Molino (1975, 37) music, often is an art/entertainment, is a total social fact whose definitions vary according to era and culture". According to Clifton, music is “an ordered arrangement of sounds and silences whose meaning is presentative rather than denotative”.
Music is an art form whose medium is sound. Common elements of music are pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics, and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture.

Meaning of Brain:
The human brain is the centre of the human nervous system and is a highly complex organ. The human brain is divided into three parts, cerebrum, cerebellum, and brain stem. These different parts have their own functions. The cerebral cortex is divided into left and right hemispheres. Anatomists conventionally divide each hemisphere into four "lobes", the frontal lobe, parietal lobe, occipital lobe, and temporal lobe.
