Draft#1 Effects of Obesity Of all countries, the United States has the highest rate of obesity. From13% obesity in 1962, estimates have steadily increased, reaching 19.4% in 1997, 24.5% in 2004 26.6% in 2007, and 33.8% (adults) and 17% (children) in 2008. In 2010, the CDC reported higher numbers once more, counting 35.7% of American adults as obese. According to the number, we know obesity is one of the serious problems in the United States. Because of a lot of junk food and lack of exercise, we can see fat Americans anywhere. There are several effects of obesity: unhealthy, inconvenient and it can cause emotion problem. First, obesity is bad for our health. Obesity will cause people to get high blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease. It is so dangerous for us, a lot of people died for obesity in the United States. My uncle likes eating junk food like hamburgers, chicken or French fries. So he looked so fat, my parents always advised him to eat health food instead to junk food, and my parents asked him to get fitness or he would get obesity. However, my uncle still ate junk food every day and never took fitness. One day, my uncle felt bad and checked his body, finally, doctor told him got diabetes, so the rest days of his life, he had to go on a strict diet and take medicine every day. So obesity has the bad effect for our health. Second, obesity is inconvenient for our life.
Last one, obesity is easy to cause emotion problem. People who is obesity always be blamed for lazy and weak-willed, although maybe they are just like eating more food and doesn’t like take fitness, perhaps they are working hard. I had a classmate, he is obesity and activity. But we always laughed at his body, he became an introvert
