Effective teams have a detrimental part building and continuing to have a successful company. There are seven main traits of highly effective teams. These traits are critical concerning organizational productivity. Developing groups and teams can be stressful, which some strategies are described in this essay in addition to the five stages of group development. Lets begin by analyzing the seven traits of highly effective teams.
According to Worldwide Success (2012), there are seven traits of highly effective teams including possessing strong leadership, trust, respect, unity, complementary skills, open communication, and lack of selfishness.
First, leaders are the backbone to the team. The leadership determines the goals and directs the team to work together to achieve the goals of the organization. Second, every organization needs to be built with trust. Each employee needs to trust one another to get the work done to achieve the projected goal. Third, respect is critical in a team. Each team member needs to respect his or her leadership and teammates. Without respect for one another, the team can have a break in communication and ultimately affect the performance of the organization. Fourth, unity is an imperative part of performing as a team. Unity is unbreakable through the greatest fails or highest achievements. Unity holds a team together bringing a sense of accomplishment and belonging for each individual within the team and the team as a whole. Fifth, complementary skills are critical in balancing roles for each member in the team. One person may have a niche for organizing and another may have a niche for computer programming.
