Evidence-based practice (EBP) are recognized as having the highest level of evidence of effectiveness based on rigorous scientific evaluations of large studies with diverse populations, and that have a significant and sustain effect on the program that is being performed. By utilizing controlled randomized trials, this increases the confidence that the outcomes observed in the study are the results of the EBP being utilized, rather than any other external factors.
