The primary focus of having Early Childhood Programs is to improve the young children’s capacity to develop and to learn. It is even believed by researchers and the writers of this particular article , that child(ren) who participate in well- conceived (ECD) programs tend to be more competent socially, and emotionally, and show higher verbal and intellectual development during Early Childhood Programs than child(ren) who may not have been enrolled in EC quality Programs.
In my opinion, after reviewing this article, I believed that the more families that seem to be headed by single mothers, Early Childhood is not of optional, but it is of a necessity, because, mothers who have to raise their children by themselves will take advantages of using Early Childhood Programs to make sure that their children have some place safe to learn, and a place where they can be nurtured. Another key point that the author was trying to make with this article is that when a child participates in such a Program of Early Childhood Development, they seem to do better in the formative years than a child who is not participating
