People brought food; they came to the hospital just to sit with the family. All our friends and the Starr family stayed positive and never gave up hope. We all made it through this tragedy by the love and support we showed each other. We played cards; I brought them clothes when they needed them. We brought them breakfast, lunch and dinner. Once he was stable they moved him to a facility, NIH, to start the recovery process. He went to the rehab facility in hopes that he would be able to resume a normal life. We never doubted Josh and his recovery. They helped walk, write, and even learn to eat again. I truly believe that his family and friends and prayers helped him through his challenges. The support system helped all of us through his recovery. We all spent so much time together at the hospital and NIH, where he recovered. The many prayers he received during his coma and healing process was the miracle he needed for his successful recovery. Last of all , no one ever gave up hope. We all knew the Josh we knew and loved would come back to us. Now we get chance to

My grandfather passed away and it sent my family and i into a turmoil. It was so sudden and fast we knew we had to prepare for our future without him. That day was the first day ever that my whole family and I sat in silence. No conversations, No cracking jokes or laughter, just silence. It was a day of sadness, but as the strong family we are, we lifted each other up and we accepted it and we made a promise to each other that we would never leave each other's sides. Jadyn is one of my best friends and has made a big impact on my life in the little time that i’ve known him. The first week going back to school, Jadyn’s cat and dog died. He knew that he had to stay positive or it could get to him,and he did so. Everyday Jadyn tries to make himself and everyone else happy. He’s a very positive person who tries his best to make you feel the same as he does. Jady didn’t let anyone know about how he was feeling and he was going through because he knew that it could affect other people. I have a lot of respect for him, as he puts other people’s feelings in front of his. Jadyn changed my point of view from being “it’s going to be a terrible day” to “it’s going to be a great day!” and I thank him for that. He makes…

I remember praying as I paced that floor, asking God to please let my son be alright. We were in that emergency room for eight…

I'm so nervous and worried but they called us into the room to get her ready for the surgery. My little baby girl didn't know what was about to happen. My heart was falling apart to see her so small and having to experience this. They finally take her in so I tell her how much I love her and cry. She passed out on me twice and doctors were so concerned of her reaction. Being there for a month wondering if she was going to make it or not is something I don't wish no one will ever have to go through.
