General scholarship terms and conditions
Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) may withdraw or terminate the scholarships if the student is in breach of the university regulations, for example if the student practices plagiarism or commits other study-related offences. In addition, any other misconduct leading to disciplinary measures may result in the termination of the scholarship. Moreover, the scholarship may be terminated during the scholarship period if the student’s studies do not progress according to the individual study plan.
You will automatically be granted a second year scholarship if you have successfully completed at least 55 ECTS during your first year at LUT. Courses have to be included to your personal study plan. Credit transfers from your previous studies are not taken into consideration when counting the number of credits required (55 ECTS) for second year scholarship. If you need to take a break on your studies, for example due to illness, you need to inform LUT immediately and LUT has a discretion to consider the circumstances and decide, whether the payment of the scholarship can be continued.
Maximum period for scholarship is 20 months (two academic years).
