Case Summary of Lily
Lily Winchester is a 25 year old Caucasian woman who came to counseling due to a wide array of issues stemming from her Father’s abandonment of her as a child and also issues she is dealing with after a traumatic abusive relationship. Lily has a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from The Ohio State University. She is married, and she and her husband Dean have three children. She met Dean while vacationing in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina. Dean works as a Firefighter in their local community. Dean is 27 years old and grew up in Shallotte North Carolina. But in reality they just used her and left her feeling even more unwanted and unloved. When Lily went off to college she became obsessed with her image and began experimenting with Anorexia and Bulimia in order to feel better about herself. She began attending lots of different parties on campus and continued to try and find comfort in men. She ended up in a relationship with a very abusive man who would often beat Lily, talk badly to her, and eventually led to sexual assaults. Lily then became pregnant at 19 as the result of the sexual abuse from her “boyfriend.” When she told him about the pregnancy he beat her up, in what she believes was an attempt to kill the fetus. After this Lily said she knew she needed to get out in order to protect her unborn child. She decided to get away from everything and to take a trip to see her sister in North Carolina, it was then that she met her now husband Dean. She calls it divine intervention, and believes God placed Dean there because he knew she needed him at that moment. They got married after Lily gave birth to her son Maxim, who Dean later
