In the story “Emancipation: A Life Fable” is about an animal that was born in a cage. He grew and throve in strength and beauty this animal was very afraid to leave its cage. There are a lot of similarities and differences in these texts the similarities in these texts are very close.
The similarities in the Boys Life and in the story “Emancipation: A Life Fable” is they both have something to do with not letting them go and thinking it as being torture to both the children and animal. In the story Boys Life Mrs. Neville will not let the class go after the bell rang. In the story “Emancipation: A Life Fable” they would not let the animal get out of its cage and that can also be known as torture.
Mrs. Neville will not let them leave the class after a long period of time she still would not let the kids’ go and it was the first day of summer. Neither in “Emancipation: A Life Fable” they would keep the animal in the cage and never let it out. The animal had a lot of fear being inside the cage the animal will wonder about when the cage was open what is happening. In the Boys Life after a while Mrs. Neville finally let them when she said “have a good summer” they had finally realized they had been free. The cage had opened up again and the animal finally had left and the cage had finally been empty
