During my life people have given me many opportunities to do things that may have been illegal but without hesitation I knew it was wrong and did not do it. The people that tried to encourage me to do things were upset that I did not want to join in on their activities, but eventually they got over it. Not joining them and somewhat distancing myself from them was one of the best decisions I have made. There were times however where I was crushed under the pressure of my peers. is someone that I admire for his nonconformity, and how brave he was to fight for the rights of millions of people. He could have just sat back and listened to what society thought was right, but he didn’t, he went out and fought for civil liberties. Him, and many other brave people like him were catalyst in the fight for human rights in America. People in schools conform all the time everyone just follows each other and tries to fit into a circle. No one is really that independent, most people rely heavily upon what a popular/famous person does to decide if what they are doing is right rather than following their own dreams and
