He never let power change him, and no matter what obstacles he faces, he always found a way to overcome them. For instance, when Madero offered him money to buy lands in order to ensure the disarmament, Zapata without hesitation denied this request and continue to fight for his ideals. With the Plan of Ayala Zapata was able to renew the Revolution and instead of fighting Diaz, his sights were set on Madero. When Madero lost power first to Huerta and later on to Venustiano Carranza, Zapata always remain skeptical of this leaders and he warned all of them that he would continue fighting independently until his Plan of Ayala was put to practical
