Emperors During The Song Dynasty
The Song Dynasty has been remarked as a dynasty full of inventions and marketing, the things that shape our world today. However, the emperors ruling during the dynasty are somewhat okay at doing their job. While some had been successful, like the original emperor Taizu, others had failed to live up to their name, like Duzong. Here is the evidence that supports my belief.

Many emperors had ruled during the Song dynasty, but almost all of these emperors had the same traits and weaknesses. Firstly, almost all emperors focused on building a strong economy. China was unified in 221 B.C.E. for the first time in many centuries after decades of constant warfare (also called the “Warring States Period”) for the first time in centuries under the leadership of Qin (McKay, 178). The king of Qin did not feel that the title of king was grand enough and created the title “Emperor” (huangdi) and he called himself the First Emperor (Shihuangdi) in hopes of many successors (McKay, 178-179). The Qin state soon fell apart and led to the beginning of the Han Dynasty, which managed to take power and keep China unified until 220 C.E. The unification of China affected many parts of politics, culture, and social life during the Qin and Han Dynasties.…

After my visit to China, I have noticed three vital aspects of three Chinese dynasties that have either benefited or have been detrimental to the success of these respective dynasties. In the Han dynasty, their Confucian way of government administration, and their useful and bearable taxes led to a successful long-term dynasty. In the Qin dynasty, their Legalist ideals of government, and their unnecessary high taxes led to an oppressive society that accomplished incredible achievements in a short amount of time by utilizing fear and cruel tyranny against their enemies. In the Zhou dynasty, the unreliability of the dynastic cycle caused the occasional increase of taxes due to the change from one dynasty to the other. CONCLUSION SENTENCE OR ADD…

The Song Dynasty did bring about an industrial revolution, due to highly advanced technology in the fields of diverse agriculture, iron-working, and printing. As a result of this industrial revolution, populations increased rapidly as people began to move to the cities because of economic opportunities and the advanced government for its time. The industrial revolution is an “economic development characterized by replacing animal and human power with mechanical power, mass production and the creation of an entrepreneurial and a working class.” These three categories; mass production, entrepreneurship and inanimate power were all actualized during the Song Dynasty. For example the production of iron and steel led to its many uses, “ranging from…

Why does a society require truth to function well? Truth is not always easy to find. Likewise in the medieval period, truth was overpowered by corruption. Similarly in the literature of the mediaeval period, Piers Plowman, The Canterbury Tales and Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, one can find some examples of truth overpowered by corruption. Therefore, truth is concealed by falsehood and is only reveled through the words of the authors of these works.…

Should physician assisted suicidal or euthanasia be allowed? Euthanasia and physician assisted suicidal is when patients are assisted by providing access to drugs to help them die from an irrecoverable diseases or sickness. In my opinion it should be allowed in all countries and states. The government and doctors should respect others wish to die. If Euthanasia gets passed in all states the same rules should apply everywhere. There shouldn't have to be different rules at each county where some allow the family to decide for the patient or where the patient makes that decision. For example, they have to be in certain circumstances in order to be granted the permission of euthanasia. In Missouri, a written statement is required if it is their…
